Approach: I chose the core focus of this themed film festival to be the individual stories of people.
I used black and white photography to emphasize the importance of the main characters in some of the films and bring home the stark realism and beauty of details. Sometimes color creates noise, competing with the image for the spotlight. Furthermore, I chose to underline the primary titles of each group of information to add a visual cue and a decorative element that enhances the overall design. Yellow was utilized as an accent color to add a playful and familiar tone.
